We provide lessons for absolute beginners, advanced singers or musicians, individuals wanting a hobby, ages 4 years – seniors. Seriously, everyone is welcome!
We have private and duo lessons as well as our small group lessons which consists of three students. A typical lesson runs for 30 minutes weekly however, we also offer 45 and 60-minute lessons. We have no set syllabus because we believe everyone learns differently and therefore we tailor our classes to each individual’s needs and goals. Our teachers are super supportive, and our school is a safe place for you to explore your interests in singing, music and performance. Surround yourself with like-minded people and watch your confidence grow!
Classes
Singing
Singing lessons (AKA vocal coaching) cover everything you need to learn about your voice. We work on the foundation of singing, breathing, warm up scales and exercises, songs, how to care for your voice and how to overcome nerves.
Performance
Performance coaching is incorporated into all private lessons.
Performance coaching includes learning correct microphone technique, stage presence, audience connection and interaction, emotion and expression, song choice, practice and preparation, spontaneity and acting through song.
Piano/Keyboard
Piano/keyboard lessons can commence for children as young as 4 years. Like all our classes, our piano/keyboard lessons are tailored to each individual’s goals. Piano/keyboard can be learnt for leisure or for examination. It’s a wonderful instrument for all ages.
Guitar/Ukulele
For ages 8 years and above, our guitar and ukulele classes are completely tailored to each individual’s goals.
Recorder
A great first instrument for juniors wanting to begin exploring music without a massive financial investment.
Song Writing
Learn how to compose and perform your own songs in an encouraging and supportive environment!
These classes are an amazing way to build confidence, self-esteem and to learn how to express emotion through song. Songwriting is an invaluable tool for an individual preparing for a career in the business.

Small Group Classes
Small Group Classes are now available in all instruments @ In Session Studios! Our Small Group Classes will include 3 students of a similar age/level and will run for 50 minutes weekly!
Although students will be learning in a group environment, they will still be working towards their individual goals!

Other Opportunities
Termly Performances
At the end of each term, we like to celebrate by hosting a Performance Day (a mini concert). Students are invited to come along and perform the piece they have been working on.
Not only is this a great opportunity for students to further their development, but it’s also an opportunity to invite your family and friends to see your progress. Each term, we try out a different venue to ensure our students are exposed to new environments.
Termly Group Performances
We understand that performing can be quite daunting. Unfortunately, the only way to improve and learn to settle your nerves is by doing it more!
This is why we invented the termly group performance classes. These classes are offered to all students (regardless of whether or not they are participating in the termly performance day) and are a super supportive environment to practice your performances.
Recording Studio Sessions
Students are placed into groups of 2, where they are given one hour each to record a song (or two) of their choice. The additional time is spent in the offside studio, where students are able to view and listen in on the technical processes of recording and learn from each other.
A completed mixed copy of the student’s song will be provided to the student to take home that day. Students are supported by an ‘In Session’ teacher as well as a professional recording technician. Students walk away from this experience with new knowledge that cannot be learned in a classroom or on stage, PLUS their very own professional recording!
Live On Air Radio Sessions
An incredible performance opportunity unlike any other. All emotion and expression must be delivered directly through your voice and instrument.
Specialised Workshops
Throughout the year, we like to add in extra opportunities for our students to assist in performance and overall development. These workshops vary from year to year and are run on a demand basis.
School Holiday Programs
During terms two and three, school holidays, we like to offer a school holiday program. These are sometimes sponsored by the City of Casey and other times just by us.
